ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) GLIFE Facilitator:
- Facilitator is very crucial in this program as he/she is directly interacting with the participants during the GLIFE seminars and training them about G5LIFE principles.
- All the Facilitators are highly qualified, have extensive experience in their respective professional career. They are dedicated and determined about the G5LIFE principle and its inculcation.
- They are passionate about the overall development of the Young generation along with the academic excellence.
b) Core Team:
- Provide the Facilitator with all the equipment required for conducting the seminar.
- Provide the Facilitator with Manual, laptop, projector and stationary material.
- Provide to the Facilitator activity games, video& Audio clips and short inspiring stories for use during seminar.
- Collect the Feedback and data from Facilitator after completion of the seminar.
c) School Coordinator:
- Assist the Facilitator to conduct the seminar and facilitate him required infrastructure from school.
- Help the Facilitator in operating the seminar equipment.
- Help the Facilitator for taking participants attendance and feedback from the participants.
Key Tasks of Facilitator
- Schedule the day and time for conducting the seminar.
- With the help of a school coordinator conduct the seminars as per the scheduled day and time regularly.
- Collect the attendance and feedback data after completing each seminar.
- Tabulate the attendance data in Excel and send it to G5LIFE core team.
- Handover the feedback forms to Director Operations on occasional meeting.
- Facilitator is free to take help of associates for better conduction of seminar.
- Detailed Tasks of – Facilitator
Initial tasks:
- Collect MOU from Operations Director and present to the principal and get it signed.
- Ask the principal to assign one staff member among the school staff as coordinator during the seminar.
- Decide the day, time and frequency of the seminar.
Check list before leaving for Presentation:
- Check your laptop, mobile and the sound equipment that they are fully charged and in good condition to work.
- Keep all the necessary connecting cables needed to connect projector, sound system and laptop for the smooth operation.
- Check your pen drive for required seminar content i.e. necessary videos and presentations required for the seminar.
- Required Banners and tools to conduct games
Conducting the seminar:
- Test laptop/computer at site for connectivity etc. and check Projector bulb, projection screen, picture brightness, resolution etc.
- Sound system: amplifier, separate connecting cable for sound system, microphone and laptop/computer.
- Pen drive: condition and compatibility, all video files working well
- Form the groups of the participants with the help of school coordinator; make sure each group have a mix number of participants (boys and girls).
- Assign a roll number to each participant and give a name to each group, the roll number and the group name and members remain same throughout the seminar. (This will help in developing working discipline, team work and coordination among the participants. If required put up table top name plate of group for easy identification)
- Group formation is also helpful for Group discussion; each seminar has a group discussion activity: all the participants have to discuss among themselves on predesigned specific point related to seminar and group leader should present their ideas to all the participants on the stage.
- Distribute the attendance sheet among the students. (participants will enter their name, class, roll number and group name).
- Conduct a quick introduction round of students (only for the first seminar, just to get the names of the participants).
- Present the Seminar Directors name slide (keep it on screen for 10 seconds)
- Play the video of Guru Brahma guru Vishnu.
- Play the video of Guru Krupa (video about all imminent personalities from Bharat).
- Play the main seminar video of the day.
- Stop/pause the video when the bell rings for few seconds. Let the students absorb what topics have and confirm with them.
- Make concluding comments about the seminar.
Action points after the seminar:
- Note down comments from participants to improve the seminar
- Receive comments and reactions for future value addition
- Emphasis that all participants were active during session else meet inactive participants to find out the reason.
Methodology & Layout
G5LIFE is two step processes which include G5LIFE concept awareness in first step and systematic Training of G5LIFE values in second step to imbibe those values in day to day activities to be a successful human being.
Facilitator has liberty to choose medium of instruction based on participants. It can be English, Hindi, any regional language or mix of them. The very purpose of program is to imbibe and understand G5LIFE values and for that purpose language of instruction/communication should not bea barrier.
